He is a short article exploring some of those things that started as fads within the Church and seem to have become fixtures. The author was raised in the Baptist tradition and listening to him give an interview on Issues, Etc., I have the impression that he is still of that tradition, which takes away the argument of this being an outside attack.

Thanks for sharing this article. I've been castigating myself over this spontaneous prayer vs. prepared prayer issue for some time. It's nice to see that others ponder the same question.
