Charleston, South Carolina is known as the Holy City. The nickname can be ascribed to a couple of different legends. But, to be sure, the steeples of the downtown churches are certainly prominent in the skyline.
The holystone is a soft sandstone that is used to scrub the wooden decks of of sailing ships to keep them clean and give them a smooth finsih.
It is my desire that this blog will serve as a holystone providing a finer finish on Christian reflection and teaching in the Holy City.
